Pamela “Pam” Marie Holten, age 60, of Granite City, IL, passed away on Friday, May 24, 2024, at her home with her loving family by her side. Pam was born on February 14, 1964, in St. Louis, MO.
Pam had a loving soul, and she never met a stranger. She was always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone. She worked in the lunchroom at Wilson School for Granite City School District #9, for many years. She enjoyed playing bingo, and walking her dog, Chester. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family and spoiling her grandchildren. Pam loved life, she loved to laugh, but most of all she loved her family. She will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Carol Marshall Holten.
Pam is survived by her loving children, Jessica (Josh) Smith of Glen Carbon, IL and Shawn Holten of Maryville, IL; dear father and stepmother, Tommie (Jackie) Murray of Carmel, IN; proud grandmother to Dax and Violet Smith; Michael Holten of Maryville, IL; Tom Sanders of Granite City, IL; siblings, Rosanna (James) Weaver of Ellington, IL, Elizabeth Murray of Naples, FL and Kay (Charles) Rollins of Granite City, IL; many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, extended family and many wonderful friends.
In celebration of her life, a visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, May 29, 2024, at Irwin Chapel, Granite City, IL. The funeral service will follow at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, with Pastor Sharon Autenrieth officiating. Pam will be laid to rest at Sunset Hill Memorial Estates, Glen Carbon, IL.
Memorial donations may be given to Granite City A.P.A. Donations will be accepted at the funeral chapel.
