Kenneth Otto Bayers, 54, died at 2:01 a.m. on Friday, March 8, 2024 at his residence.
He was born May 25, 1969 in St. Louis, MO the son of the late John and Elfreda (Heilbink) Bayers.
Ken enjoyed being outside. He enjoyed taking his dogs to the park and taking scenic car rides. He loved the Kansas City Chiefs football team, St. Louis Blues Hockey team and the St. Louis Cardinals. Ken loved all animals, military history and his favorite place was beautiful Hawaii, where he hoped to move to one day. Ken was a good man and he will be missed and will always be loved.
On May 19, 1995 in Edwardsville, he married Teresa Soehnlin, and she survives. Also surviving are his in-laws, Bob and Carol Soehnlin, three brothers, Eric Bayers, Paul Bayers (Sophie) and Joe Bayers all of St. Louis, MO. A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, April 13, 2024 from 2:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. at VFW Post 1300, 3401 Century Drive, Granite City, IL 62040. Memorials may be made to the family.
