Gladys Lorene (Hastings) Burgan, 92, of Granite City, Illinois, passed away on February 2, 2024, in Edwardsville, Illinois. Gladys was born April 16, 193 to Elmer and Elva (Seabaugh) Hastings in Crystal City, Missouri.
Gladys enjoyed times spent traveling throughout the United States with a senior group and friends. She also loved to crochet and watch “her soaps”. Her personality was a light that lit up the room and she always enjoyed spending time with family, friends, and neighbors. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great and great-great grandmother, whose absence will be deeply felt by all who knew her.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Everett Lee Burgan; her parents, Elmer and Elva Hastings; her two great granddaughters, Vicktoria and Cameron; two brothers, Robert and William Hastings; and two sisters, Marie Hastings and Shirley Burgan.
Surviving to cherish her memory are her children, Larry (Pattie) Burgan, of Granite City, Illinois, Gladys (Jim) Crowe, of Caseyville, Illinois, and Michelle Agrawal, of Creve Coeur, Missouri; her grandchildren, Jeremy (Cassie) Dunham, Jessica (Brad) Lutz, Jeanette (Ronnie) Goetter, Susan (Jason) Quinton, Ryan Laird, Ronan Agrawal, and Garon Agrawal; her great grandchildren, Justin, Hannah, Emmah, Myah, Allison, Jackson, Katie (Austin), Abbey, Emily, and Everleigh; her great-great grandchildren, Tessa, Parker, Waylon, and Ronnie; and many other nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Visitation: Friends may visit from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m., Wednesday, February 7, 2024 at Irwin Chapel, 3960 Maryville Rd., Granite City, Illinois.
Funeral: Services will be held at 11:30 a.m., Wednesday, February 7, 2024 at the funeral home with Rev. Sharon Autenrieth officiating. Interment will follow in Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery, in St. Louis, Missouri.
