Patricia A. “Pat” Ward, 73, of Highland and formerly of Granite City, Illinois passed away at 7:11 a.m. on Saturday, December 30, 2023, at DePaul Hospital in St. Louis, Missouri. She was born August 3, 1950, in Granite City, a daughter of the late Robert and Alice (Signagio) Randall. She married the love of her life, Harry R. “Buzz” Ward on May 10, 1969, at Fort Wolters, Texas and he survives. She had worked in bank management for many years throughout the world relocating with her husband through his military achievements. She enjoyed her days of gambling, playing Bingo and card games and a good day of fishing. She cherished her family and will be remembered for the special times shared with family and friends. In addition to her beloved husband, she is survived by a son, Thomas “T.J.” Ward of Moscow Mills, Missouri; a brother and sister-in-law, Dennis and Kathy Randall of Vandalia; a sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Lynette and Ralph Burnett of Granite City; many nieces; nephews; cousins; other extended family and friends. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Harry R. “Roz” Ward.
In celebration of her life, visitation will be at Irwin Chapel, 3960 Maryville Road in Granite City on Friday, January 5, 2024, from 11:00 a.m. until time of a memorial service at 1:00 p.m. with Reverend Sharon Autenrieth officiating.
