Norma Ann Fitzhugh, 81 of Granite City, Illinois passed away on Friday, April 1, 2022, at Stearns Nursing Home & Rehabilitation Center in Granite City.
Norma was born February 28, 1941, in Granite City; the daughter of the late Wilbur Allen and Bertha Elizabeth (Dye) Dix. Norma was a homemaker, wife, mom, grandmother, and great-grandmother who was a member of Life Point Church in Collinsville. Norma enjoyed her days of being a successful Bingo player and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren whom she adored. Norma will be remembered for the love of her family and all the special times they shared together.
Norma is survived by and will be missed by her husband: Robert Lee Fitzhugh, whom she married on December 14, 1957; daughters, Lisa and Jeff Imboden of Glen Carbon, IL, Robin and William Long of Springfield, IL; grandchildren, Jason and Erin Imboden, Vanessa and Brad Bartle, Chad and Emily Imboden; great-grandchildren, Vance Imboden, Shiloh Imboden, Jameson Imboden, and many other close family members and friends.
In addition to her parents, Norma was preceded in death by her sister, Shirley King.
In celebration of Norma’s life, a visitation will be held on Thursday, April 7, 2022, from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the services at 12:00 p.m. at Irwin Chapel, 3960 Maryville Road in Granite City with Pastor Eddie Bradley officiating. Graveside services to follow at Sunset Hills Cemetery. Donations are suggested to the American Cancer Society.
