James A. “Jimi” McNeill, 31 of Collinsville, Illinois passed away on Saturday, March 19, 2022, in Highland, Illinois.
Jimi was born on July 4, 1990, in Maryville, Illinois. Jimi loved his family, especially spending time with his daughter, Hazel. Jimi will be remembered for the love of his family and all the special times they shared together.
Jimi is survived by and will be missed by his mom; Lisa Barr of Collinsville, Illinois; dad, Robert “Bob’ and Tammy McNeill of Collinsville, Illinois; daughter, Hazel McNeill of Highland, Illinois; sisters, Barbara Lam of Highland, Illinois, Christy and Nick Lercher of Trenton, Illinois, Ashley Vo of Indiana; brothers, Ryan Barr of Highland, Illinois, James Lam of Missouri, Randy Hayes of Indiana; grandparents, Carol and Raymond Barr of Highland, Illinois; uncles, Ronald and Shelley Barr, Michael and Holly McNeill; aunt, Annette and Kevin Roach, and many other close family members and friends.
Jimi was preceded in death by his grandparents; Raymond and Barbara Schuessler; aunts, Rene (Barr) Portell, Lori McNeill; uncle, Jeffrey McNeill; cousin, Tyler Barr.
In celebration of Jimi’s life, a memorial gathering will be held on Thursday, March 24, 2022, from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Irwin Chapel, 591 Glen Crossing Road in Glen Carbon.
