Kenneth Wayne Cook, age 74, of Collinsville, IL, born July 1, 1947, in Highland, IL, passed away on Saturday, September 18, 2021, at Anderson Hospital in Maryville, IL.
Kenneth retired from Midwest Rubber Company in Sauget, IL after many years of service. He was an Air Force veteran. In his earlier years, he was an avid golfer, loved bowling and now he really enjoyed watching the St. Louis Cardinals and St. Louis Blues along with any sporting events on television.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Loyal Thomas “L.T.” Cook and Margaret (nee Hankins) Cook.
He is survived by his loving wife, Lela Anne (nee Broderhausen) Cook, whom he married March 22, 1974; two brothers, Mike Cook of Maryville and Randy (Susan Fischer) Cook of Collinsville; a sister, Glenda (Michael) Young of St. Louis, MO; numerous nieces and nephews.
Upon his wishes, Kenneth was cremated. A funeral procession to Jefferson Barracks will leave Barry Wilson Funeral Home on Thursday, September 23, 2021, at 9:45 a.m. for burial with military honors.
