John W. Daley, 82 of Granite City passed away peacefully on Wednesday, November 18, 2020 at Christian Hospital Northeast in St. Louis.
John was born on April 26, 1938 in Vandalia, Illinois; the son of the late Herbert and Alberta Hoxsey. John was a machinist for J.K. Pulley in St. Louis and proudly served his country in the United States Army. John was a member of the V.F.W. Post #1308 in Alton, Illinois and in his free time John enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.
John is survived by and will be missed by his daughter; Lisa and Kevin Randall of Granite City; his grandchildren, Xander Randall and Katherine Randall both of Granite City.
In addition to his parents, John was preceded in death by his life companion, Sylvia Barnes and all of his brothers and sisters.
John wanted to be cremated and have a private family memorial at a later date. Irwin Chapel, 3960 Maryville Road is serving the family.
