Laurie L. (Price) Soto, 49 of Granite City, Illinois passed away peacefully on Sunday, November 15, 2020 at Anderson Hospital in Maryville.
Laurie was born on September 11, 1971 in Alton, Illinois and was a computer processer for U.S. Bank for 13 years and had worked for Gateway Regional Medical Center as an emergency room receptionist. She had attended Unity Baptist Church and in her free time Laurie enjoyed making jewelry, painting and was a well known talented musician. Laurie loved all animals and was affectionately known as the “Ellie Mae Clampett” of critters. Most of all Laurie loved to spend time with her family and will be remembered for all the special times they shared together.
Laurie is survived by and will be missed by her husband; Robert “Bobby” Soto, whom she married on June 12, 2014; her mom, Verna (Bailey) Price of Granite City; son and fiance’, Robert Scott Soto and Sunda Cavanagh of Alton, IL; grandchildren, Chase, Bentley, Vanessa and husband William, Zachary, D.J., Saline; great-grandchild, Rosalie.
Laurie was preceded in death by her dad, Ralph Price and her brother, David Price.
In celebration of Laurie’s life, a private visitation will be held on Wednesday, November 18, 2020 with funeral services to follow at Irwin Chapel, 3960 Maryville Road in Granite City with Pastor Gary Cook officiating. Memorial donations are suggested to the family of Laurie.
