Raymond Moeller

Raymond F. Moeller, age 92, of Troy and formerly of Edwardsville, IL, passed away on Friday, November 6, 2020 at Aspen Creek Assisted Living in Troy.  Raymond was born in St. Louis on September 27, 1928, a son of the late Frederick Raymond and Pauline (Gehringer) Moeller . On November 23, 1950, Raymond married Geraldine R. (Koncki) Moeller, the love of his life in St. Louis, MO and she passed away on May 11, 2016.  He had retired as a plant auditor from General Motors in 1980 after 30 years of service as an accountant.  Raymond was a faithful and dedicated member of St. Cecilia Catholic Church in Glen Carbon, IL where he had served as a Eucharistic Minister for over 20 years.  He enjoyed his days of playing golf and racquetball, watching sports and woodworking.  He was always looking out and helping his family and will be remembered for the love and special times shared with family and friends.  The United States Army veteran proudly served his country during the Korean War.  In addition to his beloved wife and parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Glen (Marie) Moeller and Robert Moeller; a sister, Marie Moeller and a brother-in-law, Don Gorman.  He is survived by his loving children, Carol (Kevin) Winans of Edwardsville, IL, Don (Donna) Moeller of House Springs, MO, Tim (Betsy) Moeller of Chesterfield, MO and Laura (Doug) Kohnen of St. Charles, MO; dear daughter-in-law, Danielle Moeller of Edwardsville, IL; proud grandfather to Jamie, Jessica, Joyce, Andrew, Ben, Adam, Mitch, Nathan and Nolan; proud great-grandfather to Abigail, Natalie, Gwendolyn, Luke, Mason, Trenton, Zella, Brianna, Landon, Braxton, Caleb and James; a brother and sister-in-law, Edward and Judy Moeller of Hazelwood, MO.; a sister, Joann Gorman of St. Peters, MO; a sister-in-law, Beverly Moeller of Hazelwood, MO; many nieces; nephews; other extended family and many friends.

In celebration of his life, a private visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. until 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, November 12, 2020 at Irwin Chapel in Glen Carbon, IL.  A public Funeral Mass will follow at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday at St. Cecilia Catholic Church with Father Patrick Gibbons as celebrant.  Interment with full military honors will be in Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery in St. Louis, MO.  In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be given to St. Cecilia Food Pantry.  Condolences may be expressed to the family online at www.irwinchapel.com.
