Elaine K. Grzesk, 84 of Collinsville, IL formerly of Granite City passed away peacefully on Wednesday, October 14, 2020 at her home.
Elaine was born on October 4, 1936 in Granite City, the daughter of the late Steven and Mary (Sarich) Nemeth. Elaine worked in human resources at AAFES at Scott Air Force Base, retiring in 2010 and was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church in Madison, IL. In her free time Elaine enjoyed her days spending time with family and friends and will be remembered for all the special times they shared together.
Elaine is survived by and will be missed by her brother, John and Jean Nemeth of Granite City, IL; nephews, Steven Nemeth, Mike Fineshriber, Mark Fineshriber, Greg Nemeth; nieces, Laura Grote, Lorie McGovern and many other close family members and friends.
In addition to her parents, Elaine was preceded in death by her husband, Ronald Grzesk; her brother, George Nemeth and sister, Janet Fineshriber.
In celebration of Elaine’s life, a private visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 21, 2020 from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service at 1:00 p.m. with Fr. Steven Thompson officiating at Irwin Chapel, 3960 Maryville Road in Granite City. Burial will follow at Calvary Catholic Cemetery in Edwardsville. Memorial donations are suggested to the Granite City A.P.A. or Masses.
