Keith Paul Flaugher, 57, of Granite City, Illinois passed away at 7:27 p.m. on Tuesday, September 8, 2020 at Gateway Regional Medical Center Emergency Room. He was born January 25, 1963 in East St. Louis, a son of James Paul and Vivian Marie (Favier) Flaugher. He married Debra L. “Debbie” (Dacus) Flaugher on July 8, 1995 in Granite City and she survives. He worked at U.S. Steel with 8 years of service as an electrician. He was a member of the I.B.E.W. Local #1 and the United Steelworkers Local #1063. Keith enjoyed his days of fishing, hunting and bowling and will be remembered for the love and special times shared with his family and friends. In addition to his beloved wife and parents, he is survived by two sons, Daniel Meade of Granite City and Derek Flaugher of Granite City; a daughter and son-in-law, Lindsey and Luke Greene of Granite City; three grandchildren, Jaxson Fairbanks, Olive Greene and Alan Meade; a sister and brother-in-law, Denise and Stanley Marler of Granite City; nephew, James Marler; niece, Krystle Marler; mother-in-law, Mabel Dacus of Granite City; other extended family and friends. He was preceded in death by a son, George Meade and his father-in-law, William Dacus.
In celebration of his life, a private visitation and funeral service will be at Irwin Chapel in Granite City on Saturday, September 12, 2020 with Reverend Mark Maynard officiating. Burial will be at St. John Cemetery on Maryville Road in Granite City. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, to the family or to a charity of one’s choice and may be accepted at the funeral home.
