Norman Lee Chapman, 71, of Collinsville, IL, passed away at 5:55 p.m. Sun. Mar. 22, 2020 at Anderson Hospital in Maryville, IL.
He was born Jan. 21, 1949 in Springfield, IL to the late Homer & Dorothy (Pope) Chapman.
On Dec. 28, 1968, he and Vicki J. Groves were married in Fairmont City, IL. She survives in Collinsville.
Norman retired as a conductor from Amtrak after 38 years of service. He loved to shoot pool.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by 2 sons: Michael (Pamela) Chapman of Granite City and Kirk (Christina) Chapman of Collinsville; 5 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; 1 brother: Jeff Chapman of Barnhart, MO; and 1 sister: Eileen Price of Highland, IL.
The family will hold a memorial service at a later date.
