Mildred Ann Martinez, 87, of Granite City, IL, passed away at 7:16 a.m. Sun. Jan. 26, 2020 at Rosewood Care Center in Edwardsville, IL.
She was born Nov. 25, 1932 in Brilliant, AL to the late Pearl C. & Julia (Kimbrell) Stockman.
Mildred retired from White Rodgers Emerson Electric after many years of service. She loved spending time with her family and doting on her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Survivors include 2 sons: Vincent (Cathie) Martinez and Raymond Martinez of Granite City; 4 grandchildren: Ashley (Jim) Dunn, Annessa (Jarod) Skouby, Vincent (Brooke) Martinez and Cole (Nahely) Martinez; 5 great-grandchildren: Annaliese Skouby, Lillian Skouby, Eric Skouby, Diego Dunn and Celia Martinez; and a sister: Gwen Freeman of Granite City.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her former spouse: Joseph Martinez; 4 sisters: Gay Scissom, Corrine McFadden, Jean Stockman and Anna Stockman; and 4 brothers: James Cagle and Terry, Ray and Leo Stockman.
