Udell Zoe Myers, 81, of Granite City, IL, passed away at 6:44 a.m. Mon. Jan. 14, 2019 at Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, MO.
She was born Mar. 8, 1937 in Centralia, IL to the later Edward Paul & Edith (Clow) Monroe.
On Apr. 17, 1959, she and Donald Earl Myers Sr. were married in Pontoon Beach, IL. He preceded her in death Jan. 6, 2016.
Mrs. Myers was a member of Word of Life Tabernacle and the Granite City Senior Social Club. She loved to play Bingo, going out to eat with friends, shopping and yard sales.
She is survived by a son: Donald (Sandy) Myers Jr. of Pierron, IL, 6 grandchildren: Penny (Tom) Windsor, Donald Earl Rudolph, Amanda (Kevin) Reynolds, Brock Myers , John John Ishum and Kennedy Wells; 2 step-grandchildren: Marie Tudor and Michael (Samantha) Tudor; 4 great-grandchildren: Michael, Maddi, Cailyn and Alaina; a brother: Gene Monroe of Granite City; 2 sisters: Judy Pickles and Glenda Ozbun of Granite City; and a very special niece who was like a daughter: Tammy Ishum.
Besides her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by 5 brothers: John, James, Donald, Daniel and Junior Monroe; and 4 sisters: Mitzie Goff, Ada Conklin, Sue Miller and Catherine Monroe.
Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Thurs. Jan. 17, 2019 at Wojstrom Funeral Home & Crematory where services will be at 11:00 a.m. Fri. Jan. 18, 2019 with Rev. Henry Crippen officiating. Burial will follow at St. John Cemetery on Maryville Road.
