Charlotte Rose Ervin, 79 of Granite City, Illinois passed away peacefully on Monday, December 10, 2018 at Barnes Jewish Hospital in St. Louis.
Charlotte was born on July 9, 1939 in Cape Girardeau, Missouri; the daughter of the late Willard and Jettie Stovall.
Charlotte was a patient Accounts Manager for a drug and alcohol rehabilitation center and a member of Nameoki United Methodist Church in Granite City. In her free time Charlotte enjoyed her days of quilting and playing games. She loved the outdoors and never missed a chance to go swimming or spend a day at the beach. Charlotte will be remembered for the love of her family and all the special times they shared together.
Charlotte is survived by and will be missed by her daughter; Judi Ervin of Seattle, Washington; sister, Wilma Large of Granite City, Illinois; brothers, Willard Stovall of Jackson, Missouri, Michael (Judy) Stovall of Ligonier, Pennsylvania and many other close family members and friends.
In addition to her parents, Charlotte was preceded in death by her husband; Walker Charles William Ervin, whom she married on November 1, 1959; sister, Maryann (Harry) Rogers; sister-in-law, Pam Stovall.
In celebration of Charlotte’s life, friends and family may gather on Saturday, December 15, 2018 from 12:00 p.m. until the time of the service at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor Mike Rayson officiating at Nameoki United Methodist Church, 1900 Pontoon Road in Granite City.
In honor of Charlotte, memorial donations are suggested to Nameoki United Methodist Church or any Veterans organizations.
