Mary Kiselka

Mary J. Kiselka, 88, of Granite City, IL, passed away at 3:40 p.m. Sun. Dec. 2, 2018 at Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, MO.

She was born May 22, 1930 in Granite City to the late Watson and Cordie (Murphy) Dowdy.

On Mar. 26, 1955, she and Robert J. Kiselka were married in Granite City. He preceded her in death on Jan. 4, 2018.

Mrs. Kiselka had retired from Olin Corp. as a bullet press operator.

She is survived by a daughter: Gail (Lynn) Beaver; a son: Gary Kiselka and his girlfriend, Tracy Seibold, all of Granite City; 3 grandchildren: Jason (Teri) Beaver, Jaime (Jeremy) Waters and Jessica (Lucas) Springer; 3 great-grandchildren: McKenna, Taylor and Ava, and was anxiously awaiting the birth of her first great-grandson; and 2 sisters: Alice Williams and Pauline Bell of Granite City.

Besides her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a grandson: Gary Robert ‘Bobby’ Kiselka, 2 sisters: Dean and Frances; a baby brother: Charles; and 3 step-brothers: Carl, Joe and Newt Dowdy.

Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.

Visitation will be from 9:00 a.m. until time of services at 11:00 a.m. Fri. Dec. 7, 2018 at Wojstrom Funeral Home & Crematory. Burial will follow at St. John Cemetery Nameoki.
