Lauren Kay Brand, 44, of Collinsville, Illinois, passed away peacefully at home on Wednesday, July 31, 2024, surrounded by her loving family. Born on August 15, 1979, in Granite City, Illinois, she was the cherished daughter of Paulette (Beedle) Brand and Larence Brand.
Lauren was a beacon of joy to her family, her radiant smile lighting up any room she entered. She shared a special bond with her nieces, and nephews, who adored her deeply. Lauren proudly attended the William M. BeDell Achievement and Resource Center in Wood River, Illinois. She had a passion for swimming, enjoyed watching Scooby-Doo and TV game shows. She also enjoyed visiting parks and going to the zoo. Lauren’s presence brought happiness to those around her, and she will be remembered as a beloved daughter, granddaughter, sister, and aunt. Her absence leaves a profound void, but the memory of her laughter and love will forever remain in the hearts of all who knew her.
She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Albert and Irma Beedle; her paternal grandfather, Claude Brand; her sister, Melissa Brand, in infancy; her stepbrother, Kyle Likes; and her brothers-in-law, Eric Newman and Corey Winfield.
Surviving to cherish her memory are her parents, Paulette (Scott Likes) Brand, of Collinsville, Illinois and Larence “Larry” (Rhonda) Brand, of Cahokia Heights, Illinois; her paternal grandmother, Betty Brand, of Edwardsville, Illinois; her siblings, Jennifer L. Newman, of Osage Beach, Missouri, David Brand, of Granite City, Illinois, and Christina R. Winfield, of Glen Carbon, Illinois; her stepsister, Jessica Stephens, of Columbia, Illinois; and her aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

Funeral: Services will be held at 12 Noon, Saturday, August 3, 2024, at Irwin Chapel, Glen Carbon, Illinois with Rev. Kevin Jerls officiating. Interment will follow in St. Johns Cemetery in Collinsville, Illinois.
