Corey Dale Vardell, 36, of Granite City, Illinois passed away at 8:07 p.m. on Saturday, August 17, 2024, at his home. He was born July 25, 1988, in Marshfield, Wisconsin, a son of Belinda G. (Redfern) Vardell of Granite City and the late Stephen D. Vardell. Corey enjoyed working at Daylight Donuts in Granite City and loved life and was always there to help others. He cherished his daughter and had a love for cars and enjoyed his days of playing video games and skating. In addition to his mother, he is survived by a daughter, Zoey Lee Vardell of Granite City; two sisters, Tamra Vardell of Salt Lake City, Utah and Bailee Vardell and her fiancé, Zack Walker of St. Louis; nephews and nieces, Jack Hardman, Megan Warren, Landyn Hentzell, Vayda Vardell and Skylar Walker; aunts; uncles; other extended family and friends. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Stephen and Sean Vardell. In celebration of his life, a memorial visitation will be at Irwin Chapel, 3960 Maryville Road in Granite City on Thursday, August 22, 2024, from 4 p.m. until time of a memorial service at 7 p.m. with Reverend Mark Maynard officiating.
