Kenneth Todd “Kdog” Johnson, 57, of Madison, Illinois passed away at 3:18 p.m. on Wednesday, August 15, 2018 at Barnes Hospital in St. Louis.
He was born August 9, 1961 in St. Louis, a son of the late Leon L. and Shirley M. (Rinehart) Johnson. He had worked in the funeral industry for over 40 years and had owned and operated KNL Furniture in Madison for over 28 years. He was a proud supporter of his community helping many organizations throughout the years. He had a love for muscle cars and antique toys and was always telling a good joke. He will be remembered for the love and special times shared with his family and friends.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, LeDonna (Hunter) Johnson and a brother, Danny Stolle. He is survived by his significant other of five years, Kim Keough of Madison; two grandchildren, Crystin Smay and Caydee Smay; three sisters, Karen Johnson of Granite City, Cheryl Lynn Thompson of Madison and Carolyn Mae Rehmus of Granite City; a brother and sister-in-law, Jeffrey and Laura Johnson of Granite City; many cousins; nieces; nephews; other extended family and friends.
In celebration of her life, visitation will be at Irwin Chapel, 3960 Maryville Road in Granite City on Saturday, August 18, 2018 from 2:00 p.m. until time of funeral service at 5:00 p.m. with Reverend Adam Hahs officiating. Memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association and may be accepted at the funeral home.
