Jamie L. Shupp, 44, of Granite City, Illinois passed away at 5:12 a.m. on Saturday, September 7, 2024, at Barnes Hospital in St. Louis, Missouri. She was born April 28, 1980, in Berrien Center, Michigan, a daughter of the late Ricky James Fleck and Tamara (Vail) Biggs. She married Brian A. Shupp on August 2, 2007, in Lemoore, California and he survives. Jamie proudly served her country with the United States Navy and received an honorable discharge due to a service connected disability. She attended college to pursuing a career in cosmetology. She was a member of the Collinsville Kahokian VFW Post 5691 and was a supporter of animal rescues. She loved her dogs, Daisy, Clyde, Bleu, Pablo and the late Selena. In addition to her beloved husband, she is survived by a sister, Ashleigh Biggs of Granite City; grandmother, Zelma Verdean Gray of Lehigh Acres, Florida; aunt, Beth Fleck of Lehigh Acres, Florida; aunt and uncle, Karen and Paul Bagby of Granite City; cousin, Paul Bagby Jr. of Richmond, Virginia; mother-in-law, Deborah Abbott of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania; sister-in-law, Rebecca Abbott of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania; other extended family and friends. A celebration of her life will be held at a later date. Memorials may be made to Got Your Six Support Dogs or support a local veterans organization.
