Bernadine Limber

Bernadine Limper, nee Hoover, 92, of Clive, IA, formerly of Belleville, IL, was born January 21, 1932, in Henry, IL, and entered eternal rest on Wednesday, September 11, 2024, in Clive, IA.

Bernadine had worked for 35 years as a teacher at the high school, junior college and university level, where she taught secretarial sciences and business. She was a devoted long-time member of St. Paul United Church of Christ, Belleville, IL. She will be dearly missed by her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and many friends.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 62 years, Harold E. Limper, whom she married August 16, 1953, and who died November 10, 2015; her parents, William and Marion Hoover; her brothers, Richard and Leeland Hoover and their spouses Theresa (Mike) Hoover and Fern Hoover.

Surviving are four children, Margo (Scott) Rager, Andrew (Denise) Limper, Melanie (David) Miller, and Janelle (Gary) Oxford; nine grandchildren, Douglas (Monica) Moeckel, Curtis (Pam) Moeckel, Brett Scott, Kyle (Melissa) Scott, Sarah (Peter) Gifford, Nicole (Michael) Ed, Elise (Danielle) Limper, Alexandra (Jeremy) Dothager, and Grant (Sarah) Oxford; and eleven great-grandchildren, Danielle Moeckel, Anna Moeckel, Matthew Moeckel, Kailyn Schafer, Elsee Scott, Edith Scott, Landon Scott, Margaret Moeckel, Ariella Ed, Andrew James Ed, and Elowen Limper.

Memorials may be made to St. Paul United Church of Christ or to St. Paul Senior Community, Belleville, IL. Condolences may be expressed to the family online at www.rennerfh.com.

Visitation: Friends may visit from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Friday, September 20, 2024, at St. Paul United Church of Christ, Belleville, IL.

Funeral: Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, September 20, 2024, at St. Paul United Church of Christ, with Rev. Michelle Torigian officiating.

Burial will be at Mount Evergreen Cemetery, Millstadt, IL, alongside her husband, Harold E. Limper.
