Charles Louis Mucho Jr., 65, of Troy, Illinois passed away at 5:30 p.m. on Monday, September 16, 2024, at his home.
He was born August 14, 1959, in Granite City, Illinois, a son of Cora Joan (Miller) Mucho of Maryville and the late Charles Louis Mucho Sr. He retired from the U.S. National Archives in Valmeyer, Illinois and also in Florissant, Missouri after many years of dedicated service as a Supervisory Archive Specialist. He proudly served his country with the United States Navy. Charles enjoyed dirt car racing and was an avid fan of NASCAR. He also loved the outdoors and enjoyed his days of camping, boating and fishing.
In addition to his beloved mother, he is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Nicholas and Marissa Mucho of Collinsville; a daughter and son-in-law, Emily and Matthew Voss of Littleton, Colorado; three siblings, Robin Rochester and Randy Jones of Troy, Greg and Marri Mucho of Decatur and Amanda and Frank Mason of Troy; five nieces, Katie, Jessica, Michaela, Morgan and Molly; other extended family and friends.
In addition to his beloved father, he was preceded in death by a brother, David Mucho and a niece, Angela.
In celebration of his life, a visitation will be at Irwin Chapel, 591 Glen Crossing Road in Glen Carbon on Sunday, September 22, 2024, from 2:00 p.m. until time of a memorial service at 4:00 p.m. with Reverend Sharon Autenrieth officiating.
