Bernard L. Depper, 84, of Belleville, IL, born July 4, 1940, in Belleville, IL, died Tuesday, October 1, 2024, at Caseyville Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Caseyville, IL.
Bernard enjoyed spending time with his family. He owned his own body shop where he spent most of his time doing what he loved for 50 plus years. After retirement he spent his free time tinkering with his ‘52 Chevy and watching NASCAR races as well as Cardinal baseball games.
Bernard was preceded in death by his loving wife of 55 years, Delores M., nee Marler, Depper, whom he married on September 23, 1962, and who died on August 21, 2018; his parents, Clarence and Edna, nee Lechner, Depper; and five brothers, Larry, Robert, Walter, Richard, and Forrest Depper.
Surviving are his four daughters, Debra R. (Mark) Owens, Denise A. (Frank) Bilek, Deanna L. Loyet, and Dione L. Moore; 10 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; one great-great-granddaughter; three sisters, Nancy (Jack) Wells, Bernice (Bob) Qualls, and Betty (Wayne) Thompson; and many dear nieces and nephews.
