Robert Michael Hardy, 47, of Fairview Heights, IL, born November 4, 1976, in Belleville, IL, died Thursday, October 17, 2024, at St. Elizabeth’s Hospital, O’Fallon, IL.
Bob was a member of Knights of Columbus O’Fallon Council 4239. He had also been very active with the O’Fallon Boosters. He was member of Caseyville VFW Post 1117 and served as one of their bingo callers. Bob thoroughly enjoyed the many years he got to coach his daughter, Bailey, on many different sporting teams. Bob never met a stranger he couldn’t tell stories to. He was an avid fan of the Purdue Boilermakers, where his daughter Sabrina attends undergrad. They loved cheering for the Boilermakers, specifically the basketball team, together.
He was preceded in death by his father, Robert Walker Hardy; and his grandparents, Robert A. Sr. and Angela, nee Moore, Guithues.
Surviving are his two daughters, Bailey (Jared) Lewis and Sabrina Hardy; his granddaughter, Laurel Scout Lewis; his mother, Maria K., nee Guithues, Hardy; his brother, Keith (Amber) Hardy; two nephews, Kaine Alan Hardy and Dallas Michael Hardy; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

Visitation: Friends may visit from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday, October 24, 2024, at George Renner & Sons Funeral Home, Belleville, IL, and from 10 to 11 a.m. Friday, October 25, 2024, at St. Nicholas Catholic Church, O’Fallon, IL.
Funeral: A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11 a.m. Friday, October 25, 2024, at St. Nicholas Catholic Church, O’Fallon, IL, with Msgr. James Buerster officiating.
Burial will be at Lake View Memorial Gardens, Fairview Heights, IL.
