Ashley Elizabeth Wuebbels-Boehm, 40, of Eagle River, AK, born June 24, 1984, in Belleville, IL, departed this life Tuesday, October 29, 2024, at her residence.
Ashley graduated from Belleville East Township High School in 2002, where she was a member of the track and golf teams. She graduated from Webster University, receiving her bachelor’s degree in marketing management. She volunteered at Stray Rescue during college and adopted her first fur baby, Mystic. She was introduced by mutual friends to the love of her life, Erich, while he was stationed in Seattle. They were married on August 17, 2013. She was excited about being a military spouse; it allowed her to live in beautiful places such as Seattle, Hawaii, and Alaska, and meet many new friends along the way.
She was a wife, mother, sister, daughter, niece, and amazing friend with a beautiful spirit that was visible through her bright blue eyes. Her life was devoted to her family, especially her greatest gift: her 2-year-old son, Oliver. One of her greatest passions was traveling the world and taking gorgeous photographs. She loved hiking with her beloved Australian Shepherd, Sydney Bear, and spending as much time as she possibly could outside, enjoying the beauty of nature.
Above all, she was truly one of a kind—effortlessly beautiful. She had a simple charm, a gentle elegance, and a pure class that couldn’t be taught. She had the brightest smile that radiated unparalleled warmth. She was an unstoppable force who just wanted to spread as much love, light, happiness, and kindness as possible. She was taken too soon and will be missed immensely by all who knew and loved her, and her star will shine bright in heaven.
Ashley was preceded in death by her loving mother, Linda Wuebbels, nee Wilson; mother-in-law, Amber Boehm, nee Leonetti; grandparents, Bernard and Arleen Wuebbels, nee Snow; Ed Wilson; and great-grandpa, Benvenuto Malacarne.
She is survived by her husband, Erich Boehm; son, Oliver Boehm; father, William R. Wuebbels; sister, Amy Wuebbels (Benjamin Vise); father-in-law, Jim Boehm; brother-in-law, James (Nichole) Boehm; aunts, Cindy Wuebbels and Juanita (Joe) Weissert; uncle, Rick (Terri) Wuebbels, née Kruta; step-grandmother, Janet Wilson, née Henry; niece, Amelia Boehm; nephews, Logan Boehm and Hendrix Vise; cousins, Craig Wuebbels, Kurt Wuebbels, Scott Wuebbels, and Grace Weissert; and many loving relatives and friends.
