Linda Lou Croissant, nee Farthing, 81, of Freeburg, IL, born April 30, 1943, in Pinckneyville, IL, died Wednesday, November 6, 2024, at Cedar Trails Senior Living, Freeburg, IL.
Mrs. Croissant had worked for Southwestern Bell in the charting department and building office. She retired in 1998 after 38 years of service. Linda was a member of the St. Paul’s United Church of Christ in Freeburg, IL and enjoyed Sunday morning Bible study, and volunteering at the Freeburg Food and Clothing Bank. She also enjoyed crossword puzzles, needlework, watching sports, babysitting her grand dogs, spending time with her family, and playing “old lady” volleyball on Wednesday nights. In her younger years, she enjoyed Saturday outings with her husband and dear friends, George and DeeAnna Frame. Her greatest love was her children and grandchildren. Linda would do anything for the people she loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 60 years, Ronald D. Croissant, whom she married on February 24, 1962, and who died on January 9, 2022; her parents, Roy and Audrey, nee Keen, Farthing; a brother Ron Farthing, Jr.; and her father-in-law and mother-in-law, Adrian and Dorothy Croissant.
She is survived by her two daughters, Denise Conder and Deanna (Brad Clossen) Croissant-Clossen; four grandchildren, Darci (fiancé, Austin Campbell) Clossen, Cal Clossen, and Aidan and Ellie Conder; a sister, Deb Kelley; a brother-in-law, Adrian Croissant, Jr.; a sister-in-law, Norma Croissant; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Burial will be held at St. Paul’s Cemetery, Freeburg, IL.
