Keith Allen Singleton, age 52 of St. Jacob, IL, formerly of Granite City and Highland, passed away on Monday, February 6, 2023, at Evelyn’s House in Creve Coeur, MO.
Keith was born on June 18, 1970 in Breese, IL, the son of the late Lester and Mary (nee Sackett) Singleton. He graduated Highland High School in 1988, and was employed at Enable Midstream as a team lead mechanic. He formerly had worked at American Steel. He was a member of the American Motorcyclist Association.
His favorite pastime was flat track motorcycle racing. He collected Gremlin cars, loved 80’s music, and trying his luck in Las Vegas. Most of all, he loved spending time with his kids, family, and many friends.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his stepmom, Mary Valle Singleton.
Surviving are his wife, Jill (nee Gnaegy) Singleton, whom he married December 26, 2008; two daughters, Josie (Andrew) Gerstenecker of St. Jacob, IL and Haileigh Guenther of Edwardsville, IL; a son, Matthew Guenther, Jr.; a sister, Shelly (Thomas) Mosley of Fulton, MO; two stepbrothers, John (Gail) Valle of Blackwell, MO and Glen (Linda) Valle of Edwardsville, IL; two stepsisters, Barbara Valle of Greenville, IL and Tina Weathers of Granite City, IL; many aunts, uncles; numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be 3 – 8 p.m. on Sunday, February 12, 2023 at Barry Wilson Funeral Home in Maryville, IL and 10 – 11 a.m. on Monday, February 13, 2023 at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Collinsville, IL.
Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. on Monday at the church with Rev. Michael Walther and Chaplain Raymond Rizzo officiating. Burial will be in Keystone Cemetery, St, Jacob, IL.
