Marjorie Jane “Margie” Dineff, 86, of Granite City, Illinois passed away at 10:30 p.m. on Saturday, September 14, 2019 at Liberty Village in Maryville. She was born November 30, 1932 in Teresita, Missouri, a daughter of the late Henry Dotson and Mary Nadine (Donaldson) Smotherman. She married Boris Dineff on February 10, 1951 in Granite City and he passed away on April 3, 1994. She was a loving and dedicated homemaker and a faithful member of Dewey Avenue United Methodist Church in Granite City. She enjoyed her days of reading and QVC Home shopping and had a special love of nature, gardening and flowers. She will be remembered for the love and special times shared with her family and friends. She is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Paul and Cathy Dineff of Worden and Dave and Tammy Dineff of Worden; a daughter and son-in-law, Elizabeth and Steve Signall of Granite City; four grandchildren and spouses, Joe Dineff of Worden, Kayla and Vince Gaddy of Worden, Sarah and Paul Stepanek of Granite City and Jane and Scott Whitehead of Granite City; five great grandchildren, Drake Dineff, Ella Stepanek, Luke Stepanek, Ava Whitehead and Audrey Whitehead; other extended family and friends. In addition to her beloved husband and parents, she was preceded in death by three sisters, Helen Testerman, Jenny Smith and Carol Poole; a brother, Don Smotherman and an infant brother, Maurice Smotherman. In celebration of her life, a memorial visitation will be held at Irwin Chapel, 3960 Maryville Road in Granite City on Saturday, September 21, 2019 from 9:00 a.m. until time of memorial service at 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow at Sunset Hill Memorial Estates in Glen Carbon.
