Diana Faye Stewart, 67 of Maryville, Illinois passed away peacefully on Monday, September 17, 2018 surrounded by her family at her home.
Diana was born on October 26, 1950 in St. Louis, Missouri; the daughter of the late Dallas L. and Lorene A. (Hoylman) Simpson. Diana was an Activities Planner and Aid at St. John’s Community Care in Collinsville and a member of First Baptist Maryville. Diana will be remembered for the love of her family and all the special times they shared together.
She is survived by and will be missed by her daughter; Christina Stewart of Troy, Illinois; sisters, Joyce Hill of Maryville, Illinois, Donna (Rickey) Hill of Rockwood, Illinois; uncle, Frank (DeAnna) Hoylman of Corinth, Mississippi; mother-in-law, Dorothy Stewart; special cousins, Debbie (Garry) Capecchi, Dennis (Kathy) Hoylman; special nieces, Amanda (Charlie) Rubbo, Ashley Navarro; numerous brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, cousins and many other close family members and friends.
In addition to her parents, Diana was preceded in death by her husband; Ronald T. Stewart, whom she married on May 12, 1973 in Washington Park, Illinois.
In celebration of Diana’s life, a visitation will be held on Friday, September 28, 2018 from 3:00 p.m. until the time of the service at 6:00 p.m. with Pastor Tom Hufty officiating at First Baptist Maryville, 7110 State Route 162, Maryville. Memorial donations are suggested to First Baptist Maryville. Irwin Chapel, 591 Glen Crossing Road in Glen Carbon is serving the family.
