It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Dale Alan Luetkemyer, of Freeburg, IL, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend, on November 20, 2024, at the age of 66. Born on December 9, 1957, in Belleville, IL Dale was a master of wit, charm, and humor, often leaving a trail of laughs (and occasional eye-rolls) in his wake.
Dale spent his life perfecting the art of sarcasm, never missing an opportunity to make a snarky comment or deliver a perfectly timed one-liner. Whether you loved him or were secretly plotting your revenge after one of his playful jabs, his infectious personality and quick wit were undeniably his trademarks. He was the kind of man who could find humor in any situation, even if it meant laughing at himself-though he would probably deny that part.
He worked as a juvenile correction officer, where his humor made him a favorite among colleagues, even if his “helpful” advice wasn’t always requested. He was known as ‘The Old Man’ among the juveniles and claims he was famous for his mystery soup. He was formerly a General Sales Manager in the Automotive industries for many years. Outside of work, Dale enjoyed golf, traveling, and often claimed the bragging rights of his much beloved grandsons. Dale leaves behind a legacy of laughter, and unforgettable stories.
