Diana Lovena Trigg, 74, of Collinsville, Illinois passed away at 1:19 p.m. on Saturday, December 7, 2024, at Anderson Hospital in Maryville.
She was born May 16, 1950, in the Bronx of New York, a daughter of the late Commodore and Mona (Fontanez) Cox.
She married Ronnie D. Trigg on November 11, 1989, in O’Fallon, Illinois and he survives.
Diana was a hairdresser and owned and operated a beauty salon in Washington Park in her early years. She owned Diana’s Claymations and was very artistic with her hands making many miniature clay pieces throughout the years. She was also a beautiful singer and loved her days with 3rd Wind, Brandy and Asta musical groups. She enjoyed singing Karaoke, was a loving mother and grandmother and will be remembered for the love and special times shared with her family and friends.
In addition to her beloved husband of 42 years, she is survived by a daughter, Shannon (Mike) Strong of Collinsville; son, James Cranford of Pontoon Beach; step-daughter, Kacey (Rick) Voss of Granite City; grandchildren, Christianne, Camden, Cassity, Corian, Caius and Jacob; step-grandchildren, Katie and Jacob; great grandchildren, Skylar, Starr, Malachi and Ja`talia; other extended family and friends.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Jeff Cranford; daughter, Natalia Trigg; sister, Ida Dunn and a brother, Commodore Cox Jr.
In celebration of her life, a memorial visitation will be at Irwin Chapel, 3960 Maryville Road in Granite City, Illinois on Saturday, December 28, 2024, from 2 p.m. until time of a memorial service at 4 p.m.
Memorials may be made to the Trigg family and may be accepted at the funeral chapel.
