Patricia Rose Lansaw, 88, of Granite City, Illinois passed away at 2:03 a.m. on Monday, December 9, 2024, at the Dammert Center at Our Lady of the Snows Shrine in Belleville, Illinois.
Patricia was born on February 7, 1936, in Thame, England, the daughter of the late Ernest Leopold and Georgina Pauline (Pace) Irving.
She married Mitchell Clay Lansaw on April 19, 1956, in Reading, England and he passed away on August 13, 1992.
She was proud of her English ancestory and heritage. She was a member of the British Wives Club in St. Louis and the First United Presbyterian Church in Granite City. She enjoyed her years as a volunteer at Gateway Regional Medical Center and had worked as a clerk at the Granite City Army Depot.
Patricia loved her days of cooking for her family and singing in her church choir. She cherished her family and her home and will be remembered for the love and special times shared with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
She is survived by a son, Michael Ellis of Granite City; a daughter, Shelley Lansaw of Lexington, Kentucky; four grandchildren and their spouses, Paige and Paul Wratchford, Travis and Suraeya Lansaw, William and Hannah Richardson and Laura and John Brownlee; ten great grandchildren, Nolan and Ivan Wratchford, Phenyx, Kingston, Sahara, Savannah and Reny Lansaw; John James, Greer Brownlee and William Richardson; a brother, Eric Irving of Ratford, England; nieces; nephews; other extended family and friends.
In addition to her beloved husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a brother and sister-in-law, Michael and Sadie Irving and a sister-in-law, Nita Irving.
In celebration of her life, a memorial service will be held at a later date.
She will be laid to rest at the Woodside Cemetery in Middleton, Ohio and a portion will be returned to her homeland in England.
