Carol Ann Burgner, nee Morris, 80, of Swansea, IL, born February 15, 1944, in Galesburg, IL, died Saturday, January 25, 2025, at Memorial Hospital, Belleville, IL.
Carol was a dedicated wife, mother, and grandmother. Her tremendous faith and her relationship with God came first. She led by example, spending years as a volunteer for hospice and several other organizations. In 1986, she was awarded the Quad Cities Woman of the Year for her volunteer work.
Carol loved watching her grandson play basketball, cooking for her family, and watching birds in the yard. She has entered God’s Kingdom to be united with the love of her life, Lloyd. Today, we celebrate a great woman and the peace she has with the Lord.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, Dana Lloyd Burgner, whom she married August 31, 1963, and who died on February 13, 2022; her parents, Charles and Martha, nee Morris, Stotts; a grandson, Karl Burgner; and three sisters, Doris Hummer, Myrna Adamson, and Dorothy Brennan.
Surviving are three sons, Rick Burgner, Chuck Burgner, and Jeff Burgner; a daughter-in-law, Jen Burgner; a grandson, Daulton Burgner; three brothers, Al (Sue) Koeller, Ronald (Ruth) Stotts, and Carl (Wendy) Stotts; three sisters, Evelyn Johnson, Patricia Stuart, Margaret Sierra; and nieces and nephews.

Funeral: Memorial services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, February 1, 2025, at George Renner & Sons Funeral Home, Belleville, IL, with Bishop Geoffrey Dudley officiating.
Burial will be at Lake View Memorial Gardens, Fairview Heights, IL.
