Deanna Clifton

Deanna R. Clifton, 66, of Pontoon Beach, Illinois, passed away at 4:47 p.m. on Monday, January 27, 2025, at Barnes Hospital in St. Louis, Missouri.

She was born January 27, 1959, in Mt. Pleasant, Iowa, a daughter of the late Judith Rae “Judy” (Berger) and Leon Frederick Streif and the late Dean Ray Stafford.

She married Dale Alan Clifton on November 16, 2012, in Edwardsville and he passed away on March 18, 2024.

Deanna had a love of pets and cherished her dogs, cats and birds through the years. She loved the outdoors and flowers and enjoyed her days of gardening. She will be remembered for the love and special times shared with her family and friends.

She is survived by two children, Trisha (Ron) Williams of Belleville, Illinois and Gary Williams of Granite City, Illinois; four grandchildren, Jacob (Judith) Cates, Josh (Daysalee) Cates, Caleb Malson and Katelynn Turner; a great granddaughter, Everleigh Cates; eight siblings, Gregory (Sharon) Streif of Crestwood, Kentucky, Dale (Jenice) Streif of Belleville, Illinois, Peggy (Joseph) Hock of Irvington, Alabama, Lori Ditzler of Caseyville, Illinois, Dennis (Mary) Streif of Columbia, Illinois, Roger (Linda) Streif of Caseyville, Illinois, Norma Stafford of Caseyville, Illinois and Melissa and Clarence Kaemmerer of Red Bud, Illinois; many nieces and nephews; other extended family and friends.

In addition to her beloved husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Bart Robert Streif and a brother-in-law, Terry Ditzler.

In celebration of her life, visitation will be at Irwin Chapel, 3960 Maryville Road in Granite City on Saturday, February 1, 2025, from 2 p.m. until time of a memorial service at 4 p.m.
