Phyllis E. Booker, nee Mense, 85, of Belleville, IL, born August 2, 1939, in St. Louis, MO, died Friday, February 7, 2025, at St. Paul’s Nursing Home, Belleville, IL.
Mrs. Booker retired from Scott Air Force Base after many years in civil service. She had also worked for H&R Block for over 25 years. Phyllis was a member of St. Peter’s Cathedral Catholic Church, Belleville, IL.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 28 years, James Walter Booker, whom she married on October 5, 1985, and who died on May 12, 2014; and her parents, John and Florence, nee Hasler, Mense.
Surviving are her son, Stephen (Susan) Marxer; her daughter, Leslie Zotz; two step-daughters, Charlotte Booker (Mark Nutter) and Cassandra E. (Michael) Johnson; a grandson, Gregory (Hannah) Marxer; a step-grandson, Noah Johnson; and three great-grandchildren, Haylie, Sophie, and Tiberius.

Funeral: Entombment will be at Green Mount Catholic Cemetery Mausoleum, Belleville, IL.
