Kari N. Ahlers, 43, of Granite City, IL, passed away peacefully with family by her side at 5:31 a.m. Sat. Feb. 8, 2025
She was born on Jul. 31, 1981 in Granite City, IL to the loving mother Linda Ahlers and father Peter Tegel.
Kari was a feisty and caring young woman who loved animals, babies, and most of all her family. She enjoyed camping, fishing and being one with nature.
The loving mother and daughter cherished the time she served as a Labor & Delivery Nurse. She was very artistic and channeled her creativity into a thriving small business, designing and crafting exquisite tumblers, ink pens, diamond dot pens and more. She was very proud to have shipped her beautiful creations to almost every country in the world adding personal touches to each order, leaving a little piece of her radiant spirit in every package. Kari will be missed by all who knew her.
Kari’s legacy extends far beyond her accomplishments. She leaves behind a family who loved her deeply and will forever cherish her memory. She is survived by her Mother: Linda Ahlers, Father Peter Tegel; Children: Devin Ahlers, Shelby Ahlers, and Antonio Briagas. Also surviving are siblings: Mike (Mindy) Ahlers and Kelly (Monte) Vickery; Nieces: Hannah, Chloe, Courtney, Chelsea, and Nephew: Noah.
In addition to her grandparents, she was preceded in death by a brother: Chad Roth; Uncles: Billie and Donnie Birks, Joseph Marks; and Aunt: Elsie Riggins
A private service will be held to celebrate her life and to honor her memory.
