Betty Ann Nunnery, age 76, of Edwardsville, IL, formerly of Granite City, IL, passed away on Monday, March 10, 2025. Betty was born on June 12, 1948, in Batesville, AR, a daughter of the late John Wallace Moser and Geneva (Warden) Moser.
Betty will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, sister, aunt and friend, who never met a stranger. She retired as an accountant from the Department of Agriculture after 30 plus years of dedicated service. Betty had a green thumb and enjoyed working outside in her flower garden. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family whom she loved dearly. Betty will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her.
In addition to her parents, Betty was preceded in death by her sister, Mary Ashby.
She is survived by her devoted husband, Leonard “Wayne” Nunnery of Edwardsville, IL, loving son and daughter-in-law, David and Barbie (Potts) Nunnery of Barnhart, MO, nieces, nephews, extended family and many wonderful friends.
In celebration of her life, the visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 13, 2025, at Irwin Chapel, Granite City, IL. The funeral service will follow at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, with Pastor Joe Taylor officiating. Graveside services will be held at Wiseman Cemetery in Wiseman, AR., on Saturday, March 15, 2025, at 1:00 p.m.
