Jenice M. Streif, nee Council, 73, of Belleville, IL, born Friday, January 25, 1952, in East St. Louis, IL, passed away Tuesday, March 11, 2025, at her residence in Belleville, IL surrounded by her loving family, after a 2 year battle with cancer.
Jenice worked as a Secretary for Vandalia Bus Lines for over 20 years.
She was preceded in death by her:

- Mother, Marcella J., nee Webber, Council
- Brother, Larry E. Council
Surviving are her:
- Husband of 43 years whom she married on January 14, 1982, Dale R. Streif of Belleville, IL
- Daughters:
- Christine (John) Schmidt of Belleville, IL
- Sarah (Rick) Juelfs of Columbia, IL
- Janna (Jeff) Hughes of Collinsville, IL
- Son, Jeremy Streif of Mt. Olive, IL
- Sister, Kim (Dr. Michael) Rapoff of Sarasota, FL
- Grandchildren:
- Madison (Noah) Szedler
- Avery Juelfs
- Greyson Schmidt
- August Juelfs
- Keller Schmidt
- Great granddaughter due in April

Memorials: Memorials may be made to the St. Jude’s Children Research Hospital or Belleville Area Humane Society.
Funeral: Celebration of Life will be held from 10:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 5, 2025 at Kurrus Funeral Home.
