Patricia Ann Diener, age 82, of Smithton, IL, formerly of Fairview Heights, IL, born on January 22, 1943, in East St. Louis, IL, died on Friday, March 21, 2025, at Freeburg Care Center, Freeburg, IL.
Patricia was a registered nurse and worked in the field until her retirement. She enjoyed knitting, beading, jewelry making, playing the piano, and spending time with friends and family.
Patricia is preceded in death by her parents, Herman and Elizabeth, nee Allison Voellinger and her former husband, Fred Diener of Troy, IL.
She is survived by her children, Beth (Wayne) Wolf of Belleville, IL, Jennifer Schaller of Freeburg, IL, Rick (Tina) Diener of Waterloo, IL, and Amy Jo (Brian) Reich of Belleville, IL; grandchildren, Emma, Mary, and Tess Wolf; Jack and Brad Schaller; Sam Diener; Liz, Joe, and Ally Reich; great-grandchildren, Vivian and Carter Reich-Smith; her brother, Michael Voellinger of Fairview Heights, IL; and her dear friend, John Capizzi, Jr. of Smithton, IL.
Memorials may be made on her behalf to Belleville Area Humane Society.
Memorial Visitation will be held on Thursday, April 3, 2025, from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Kassly Mortuary, Ltd., Fairview Heights, IL.
