Benton Childs Jr., 88, of O’Fallon, IL, born December 26, 1936, in East St. Louis, IL, passed away peacefully on Saturday, March 22, 2025, in Caseyville, IL.
Benton was a fan of sports, his favorite teams being the St. Louis Cardinals and the St. Louis Rams, with his favorite TV channel being ESPN. Benton even participated in sports himself, having belonged to a bowling league. Above all, Benton was a family man. He cherished his family and was very supportive, always believing everyone had potential. His grandchildren were his world.
Preceding Benton in death are his parents, Benton Sr. and Theresa Childs (nee Page); and his wife, Betty Childs (nee Jones).
Left to cherish Benton’s memory are his daughter, Lisa Millsap of O’Fallon, IL; and his two grandchildren, Melanie Millsap of O’Fallon, IL, and Mario Millsap of St. Louis, MO.
