Barbara Sue Travis, 86, of Granite City, IL, died at 5:10 a.m. Fri. Apr. 25, 2025 at her home surrounded by her family while under hospice care.
She was born Mar. 18, 1939 in Granite City to the late Merle Otis and Lillian Violet (Richards) Stewart.
Barbara was a member of Calvary Life Church. She loved to embroider and quilt by hand, arrange silk flowers and color.
She is survived by 3 children, Vickie (Jim) Eberhart of Winchester, TN, Lawrence (Sandra) Travis Jr. of Granite City, and Dawn Godair of Granite City, 12 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-grandchild.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Lawrence Travis Sr., a daughter, Starlet Travis, a son-in-law, Michael Godair, a brother, Ray Mercer, and a sister and brother-in-law, Delores and Bob Keeton.
Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. until time of services at 7:00 p.m. Mon. Apr. 28, 2025 at Wojstrom Funeral Home & Crematory with Rev. Mark Maynard officiating. Cremation will follow.
