Nurinalda Rivera Claudio, 81, of Belleville, IL, born January 29, 1944, in Vega Alta, Puerto Rico, died Tuesday, June 3, 2025, at her residence with her family by her side.
She took vocational training in New York City and worked as a secretary at a business firm. Nurinalda was a very generous person who would share what little she had with anyone who needed it. She was fond of the saying, “Where there’s enough for one, there’s enough for two.”
She was preceded in death by a son, Eric Torres; her parents, Andres Rivera and Modesta, nee Claudio, Rivera; and her beloved siblings.
Surviving are her six children, Margarita (Carlos) Rosado, Robert (Sara) Perez, Mayda Torres, Michael (Cindi) Souza, Caridad (Godwin) Souza, and Julia Souza; and many beloved grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
