Kade Henschen

Kade Nicholas Henschen, 7 years old, went to be with Jesus on May 14, 2026, surrounded by his parents. He was born on July 16, 2018, to Nick and Anna (Bodenbach) Henschen.

In his short seven years, Kade experienced life to the fullest. To know Kade was to know a boy who loved being outdoors. He was so full of life. From sunup to sundown, you could find him hard at work—helping Momma cook in the kitchen, taking care of the yard, driving his tractor until the gas tank was empty, spending hours helping his dad work ground, convincing his parents to let him drive his tractor to his best pal Hanks house, or by the water with a fishing pole in hand. Kade was such a bright light who cared deeply about helping others, always willing to pitch in and put a smile on someone’s face.

He loved everything outdoors, riding bikes, mowing grass, getting dirty, and anything involving farming. He loved God and Wednesdays. He was strong-willed and willing to take on the world. If you asked, he did it. He was polite, kind, and never knew a stranger. He was one amazing little man who will be missed on earth for eternity.

Kade was homeschooled by his amazing mama and was in 2nd grade, though he would rather have been in a tractor any day of the week. He played football for the quarterback club, participated in Katana Wrestling, played baseball, and attended Awana. He loved being around other kids and brought joy everywhere he went.

Kade is survived by his parents, Nick and Anna Henschen; his brothers, Raiden Evans and Boden Henschen; and his sister, Harper Henschen. He is also survived by his grandmother, Cindy Henschen; grandparents, Mark and Carolyn Bodenbach, Maw and Paw; Uncle and Aunts- Bain Bassett and Amy Henschen, parents of Brenna Bassett; Chad Schuster and Sara Eilers, parents of Baby Schuster; Trenton and Leah Bodenbach, parents of Elowen, Aldrik, Vietta, Hans, and Raife; Nathan and Lindsey Hellrung, parents of Abigail, Eleanor, and Nehemiah; Bronson Bodenbach; Carrie and Matt Cox; Wes Wileman, along with many other aunts, uncles, cousins, family members, and friends who loved him dearly.

He was preceded in death by his maternal great grandmother, Verdna Bodenbach; paternal great grandmother, Gladys Wilkening; paternal grandfather, Gary Henschen; paternal grandmother, Sharon Henschen; and maternal grandmother, Laura Bodenbach.
