Wood River Police Department Responded To Shooting Sunday Night

WOOD RIVER – The Wood River Police Department responded to the 300 block of Bonita Street just after 11:30pm Sunday night for a victim of a gunshot wound.

When officers and EMS arrived on scene, they located one victim suffering from a gunshot wound. The victim was transported to an area hospital by Alton Memorial Ambulance and his condition is unknown. Several area police departments responded to the scene.

Wood River Police Department has not released a description of the suspect or if the suspect has been apprehended more information to come.
