Major Case Squad Activated To Investigate Shooting In Maryville

MARYVILLE – Major Case Squad of Greater St. Louis has been activated to investigate a victim of a shooting on Thursday.

On Thursday March 17, 2022, at approximately 4:00 p.m., the Maryville Police Department received a call of a deceased subject in the 2000 Block of N. Bluff Road, Collinsville, IL 62234.

The caller located a male subject, face down, in a pool of blood, who appeared to have been shot multiple times.

At the request of the Maryville Police Department, the Major Case Squad of Greater St. Louis was activated to investigate this matter. Approximately twenty (20) plus Major Case Investigators responded and have been actively working this investigation.

A press conference has been called today at 1:30 p.m. and they will release more information.
