Edwardsville Fire Department Battle Structure Fire Tuesday Afternoon
EDWARDSVILLE – Edwardsville Fire Department responded to Monticello Place for a structure fire at around 3:30 p.m. Tuesday.
Mutual aid was requested, Glen Carbon, Wood River, and Troy responded but Wood River and Troy were cancelled en route.
Firefighters quickly got the fire under control the fire before it spread to other parts of the house.
“The fire appears to have started outside at the back of the house and spread to the house. The siding was melted and some fire made it to the attic.” Edwardsville Fire Chief James Whiteford said
No injuries were reported.
