Frances Ann Nelson, 83, of Granite City, IL, passed away at 8:27 a.m. Thurs. Jan. 4, 2024 at her home surrounded by family and friends.
She was born July 19, 1940 in Dover, TN to the late Sally Ann (Gafford) Kimbrell and Trenton Robert Nelson.
Frances had been a beautician and worked in Housekeeping at Gateway Regional Medical Center for 23 years.
She is survived by a daughter: Jeannean Braden; 2 grandchildren: Danielle Turner and Jason Glen Anderson; 5 great-grandchildren; a brother: Eddie Brunell Ray; and 2 sisters: Claudell Mitchell of and Wilda Jean Tedford; and many friends.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by 2 brothers: Trenton Robert Nelson and Carlton Leroy Nelson; and 3 sisters: Lucille Ray, Bonnie Lou Nelson and Betty Jo Ray.
Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. until time of services at 1:00 p.m. Tues. Jan. 9, 2024 at Word of Life Tabernacle. Burial will follow at St. John Cemetery on Nameoki.
