Man Identified In East Alton Pedestrian Hit And Run
EAST ALTON – A pedestrian who was struck and killed Tuesday evening in the 600 block of Powder Mill Road in East Alton has been identified as 52-year-old John Gleason Jr.
Police officials have recovered the vehicle that was involved in the hit-and-run. When first responders arrived they located a person who had been struck by a vehicle and the vehicle was no longer on scene. Firefighters worked on the victim but they were pronounced deceased.
