Michael R. McCormick, age 68, of Swansea, IL, born on March 27, 1957, in Belleville, IL, died on Monday, October 13, 2025, surrounded by his family.
Michael was a United States Army Veteran and retired as a truck driver. He had a love for fast motorcycles and music. Michael loved being a dad and a grandpa. He was very witty and enjoyed making people laugh, and we certainly will miss and forever love him.
He was preceded in death by his parents, George Hubert McCormick., Jr. and Mayme Helen Hoge; his grandpa, George Hubert McCormick, Sr; and his grandma, Ada Bell White McCormick.
Michael is survived by his children, Curtis McCormick and Cory (Hermes Perez) McCormick; his very special granddaughter, Ava Claire McCormick; and his siblings, Shirley (Larry) Darnall, Georgia (the late Jerry) Christopher, and Patricia (Roy) Loehring. Michael is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Memorial visitation will be held on Monday, October 20, 2025, from 3:00 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. at Kassly Mortuary, Ltd., Fairview Heights, IL.
Memorial service will be held on Monday, October 20, 2025, at 5:30 p.m. at Kassly Mortuary, Ltd., Fairview Heights, IL, with Pastor Ron Habermehl officiating. Burial will take place at a later date.
